Genki Sushi (元気寿司)
Another Japanese Food chain landed in Sungapore: this is an affordable Sushi Chain with interesting concept set up. You order sushi via iPad and The sushi is delivered via train/car plate. High tech oriented isn't it?
Ramen Suzuki (すず木)
Probably the most tasty ramen shop in Singapore. Located in Boat Quay area.
The photo is their unique menu, cheese Tonkotsu Ramen.
Tsukada Nojo (塚田農場) in Singspore
The popular Izakaya has landed in Singapore. In Japan it offers more of chicken and organic vegetables from Miyazaki prefecture, but in Singspore it seems to target on hot pots, especially the collagen Beauty Pot (美人鍋).
It has two outlets (Plaza Singapura and China Square). It is extremely difficult to get a seat at dinner time. The only time you can book is from 17:00-19:00 at China square branch.
Suju (酢重正之) in Mandarin Gallery Singapore
One of the best Japanese Restaurant in Singapore. Costly but it is worth it. Especially the rice and miso soup.
It is worth using the AMEX promotion of use 100SGD and receive 30SGD voucher for Mon-Wed dinner time.
Itacho Sushi (板長寿司)
HK originated Sushi chain expanding to Singapore. There are at least two shops in Singapore: 1) ION, 2) Plaza Singapura.

La Luna Rossa
A renowned Italian chef from Tokyo (Nakameguro) opened its first branch in Singapore (Scotts Square, next to Hyatt Hotel). We tried the classic lunch set (38++), which comes with antipasto, main dish and desert & drinks. I ordered the wasabi flavored tuna cake and Kagoshima Pork Sauté and Tiramissu. Though the amount is relatively small, I cannot help enjoying the tender texture of each dish. They also serve liquor for one to one deal (18++) so I ordered cocktail as well.
I witnessed a couple celebrating birthday as I saw the staff sing birthday song.
As a wrap up, I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

Tomo Izakaya in Clark Quay
This Japanese Izakaya in Clark Quay is one of those well designed eatery with sets of drink. Though it comes with price, the overall quality should pay off the cost you put in.
Hakone Parks Yoshino (Japanese Inn)
I stayed at end of September for our our corporate trip to Hakone. Located in good walking distance from Hakone Yumoto station 箱根湯本駅 of Hakone Tozan Tetsudo/Odakyu line, which is also accessible via Odakyu Romance Car, special limited express connecting between Shinjuku and Hakone.
The accommodation is very typical Japanese Onsen style hotel, with two traditional meal (dinner and breakfast) and big Onsen Bath. The bath is located with gorgeous river view! Since we were in a small group of 8 persons, we did not have the opportunity to hold a huge party, but I found this hotel does have the capacity. For those looking for "companion" or girls serving you liquor service, it may be a challenge, but nevertheless does offer the usual service. The hotel bar seems to be quite lame do I do not recommend for excitement. I would say this hotel is more geared towards families, couples.
