Paradise Pavilion in Marina Bay Financial Centre

One of the top class (in terms of atmosphere, interior and food quality) Chinese Restaurant that I have been is this restaurant in Marina Bay Financial Centre ground level area.

Honestly this is not somewhere you come everyday but only on special occasion.

I only have been with HQ corporate executives, and they pay the bill! Set course can easily go over 100 dollars.

Cheng Li Restaurant

One of the most economic restaurant with reasonable main land Chinese dishes that I ever encountered in Singapore is this Cheng Li Restaurant along historic& posh Tanjong Pagar Road.
I would not say the outlook of restaurant fancy but do not be haste to make the judgement; food quality is quite good for casual dining. The shop seems to be run by Chinese mainlanders and they do bring the taste and price and service on the table. Oh so do not expect them speak fluent English or Singlish but just try to point out what you like. You will know what I mean when you see the dishes and the bill. 4 person with 5 bottles of beer only cost 96 dollars!

Closed; (Yun nan style ) Chinese restaurant

Near the Tiong Bahru food centre, I bumped into a nice looking Chinese Restaurant, specializing in Yun Nan Province Food, which looks a bit spicy. Nevertheless we can still request less spicy and we can still chose the generic Chinese flavor. The two person set starts from 38 Dollars which comes with cold chicken plate etc. I believe the cost to value is high compared to ordinary high class restaurant but not to the down to earth type restaurant.

Beijing steam boat style restaurant

My colleague, originally from Beijing, took us to this "traditional China Cuisine" restaurant "北京能人聚". The restaurant is located in Lavender area along Jalan besar. The restaurant offers variety of food, but specialize in hot pot in Beijing style: they have sets of mutton, pork, beef as well as vegetables. The price is very reasonable therefore even having meal in group if 5, it did not surpass 135 SGD. I find the place reasonable. Address: they are at the following address. 298 Jalan Besar Allenby #11-02 Singapore. 208959.

Pearl Liang (Paddington London)

Every once in a while when we were living in London, and after the Church meeting on Sunday lunch time, we went out for a nice dim sum without so much of a crowd. This Pearl Liang Restaurant is located in the back of Paddington Station in a newly developed area (8 Sheldon Square). Quite chic looking, isn't it?

Imperial Treasure Fine Chinese Cuisine in Marina Bay Sands

Imperial Treasure Fine Chinese Cuisine is one of the restaurant placed on the special floor on the Casino side building. From this floor you can see most of the casino floor layout. The restaurant itself serves most Chinese delicacies including Beijing Duck, etc.
