Dosukoi Sakaba(どすこい酒場)

Those who have experience in watching Japanese Sumo game, you can guess what "Dosuukoi" means. The name sounded very authentic and charming to me when we passed by at the store entrance, where we immediately decided to enter and have a look. It has a very cozy bar counter where you can sit down and relax to have some Japanese Sake, Shochu or some Izakaya (居酒屋) stuffs. The price is reasonable, the quality seems to be good, and the best part is that this is very "at home" style. The shop is open from 5pm until 2am everyday. So especially for folks who wants to find a quite and cozy Japanese style Izakaya, this is the place.

Sejong (Korean BBQ)

This is a restaurant located in the Tiong Bahru Plaza. It is an ordinary Korean BBQ in a affordable price.

Address: 302 Tiong Bahru Road #01-15/16 Singapore 168732

BBQ Box (@Kallang)

Just 5 min walk from Kallang MRT station on the south side along the terrace row, you will find this crowded with lots of Customer from early evening. Concept of the food is meat or fried veggies on skewer with beer. You only pay per skewer. The amount is quite big, so I would recommend to visit in big group. General price is very cheap. 30 dollars per head will pretty much give you enough amount.

Nakajima Suisan Grilled Fish (@Takashimaya Basement)

I cannot resist to say that ordinary grilled fish set in hawkers or food court cannot even come to a startingpoint to compete with this restaurant. And I am telling you that this is not even a high class outlet but a regular open door shop in Takashimaya in Orchard Toad.
The best I tried the Samma (Pacific Saury)

Thanying Restaurant (@Amara Hotel Singapore)

When I have guests and want to take for a nice Thai Restaurant, this is the first one I would think of. The hotel is located in Level 2 of Amara hotel near Tanjong Pagar MRT station, along Tanjong Pagar Road.
Its chain restaurant in Sentosa Amara Santruary is also very nice. I have been there in both business and private occasions.

Paradise Pavilion in Marina Bay Financial Centre

One of the top class (in terms of atmosphere, interior and food quality) Chinese Restaurant that I have been is this restaurant in Marina Bay Financial Centre ground level area.

Honestly this is not somewhere you come everyday but only on special occasion.

I only have been with HQ corporate executives, and they pay the bill! Set course can easily go over 100 dollars.

Oosters Belgian Brasserie

I am a great fan of Mussels and Belgian beer. It was to my surprise that I found one here in Singapore in walking distance from my office in Raffles Place vicinity.

I find this place nice because of its
Location but also the atmosphere inside. I like the fact that it is not somehow not too crowded and also not too pricy.

La Brezza (@St Regis Hotel)

Sunday Brunch in a gastronomic Italian restaurant: I have not tried much in the past but out of few, I could recommend this one for Italian cuisine.
It is very popular so strongly recommend booking. If I remember correctly the fee is 88SGD ++, without the free flow of alcohol, but soft drinks comes with it.

Katanashi (Japanese Tapas)@ boat quay

No shape, no pattern is the literal meaning for this tapas which just opened in Boat Quay. Upon entering the restaurant, you will be greeted with a loud voice "Customer just arrived. What do we say, Irashaimase (or welcome)". What I like is the casual but the reasonable priced menu. I only came for lunch, but I definitely want to try the dinner here as well.
