Sultan Hotel (Jakarta)

One of the oldest top star hotel in Jakarta, I guess. It actually takes a lot of ground space to cater multiple annex building for accommodation, residence and pool & recreational spots. The gate to the main lobby is a bit hard to identify: therefore be prepared to get lost.
The facility structure looks good but cannot hide its aging infrastructure. Tap water can sometimes get rusty, the phone handset can be temporarily get disconnected, and as usual with most buildings the power socket panel is peeled off from wall very easily.
Nevertheless the building structure is good with nice marbles. The level of hospitality is so so okay. First night check in around 8pm, took more than 15 min. This is a bit too much for this level of hotel when i see extra man power in idle.
My evaluation: in price to value perspective, okay standard but compared to world class 4star hotel, not to satisfactory. (by the way, this used to be the Hilton Hotel)
